Lions Club

The Hendrick Hudson Leos Club is comprised of students in 7th-12th grades. Although currently only Blue Mountain Middle School and Hendrick Hudson High School students are involved, any student can join. We welcome new members regardless of what school they go to!

100% of the money we receive from the community goes back to the community.  Donations are always welcome- that's what helps us to help others!

The Hen Hud Leos were officially chartered on September 6, 2007 with 32 active members.

They meet the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month at the Cortlandt Community Volunteer Ambulance Corp in Montrose. 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Since 1957, when the first club was organized, the Leo movement has grown to more than 5,500 clubs in more than 130 countries with approximately 140,000 members.

Joining a Leo club is a great way to become involved in your community, serve as a leader to your peers and make friends

The objective of the Leo Club Program was (and still is):

"...to provide the youth of the world an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national and international community."

The Leo club motto is:

Leadership - Leos develop skills as organizers, time managers and motivators of their peers.

Experience - Leos learn the importance of cooperation through community service.

Opportunity - Membership provides young people with a chance to excel, to develop positive character traits, and to receive recognition for their contributions to the community.Today, the Leo Club Program is stronger than ever. Community service remains the cornerstone of the program. Like their Lion counterparts, Leo club members enjoy serving their neighbors and watching positive results unfold.
