One of the many parts of the Stay Awake A Thon is the luminary ceremony. It is a time when all the luminary bags are displayed, with candle in them to emit light. Bags are made to remember and honor those who are fighting cancer and those who have lost their battle. The community gathers and walks throughout the bag’s path in silence. This event gives all people to reflect on the touch of cancer.
